Summer Youth Group 2013

Starting on July 7, at our normal 6-8pm time, our Summer Youth Group will meet at the Steve & Yvette’s home in Salem (contact us for directions). Please feel free to bring a (modest) swimsuit and a friend to hang out, swim, play some games, and enjoy a Bible discussion led by our high school students.

We will meet for Summer Youth Group on the following evenings:

  • July 7
  • July 14
  • August 4
  • August 18

As with all our events, parents are more than welcome to join in on the fun too! If you have any questions, just ask.

RSU – June 2, 2013

This month, Logan and Austin take the RSU baton and let us know about a few upcoming events, like the end-of-school party and summer Youth Group. Also, be sure to watch until the end for a special thanks to Jamie and Taylor for their 2 1/2 years of leading RSU.

You are invited to any and all middle school Youth Group events, starting in June 2013. This includes Youth Group on Sunday evenings and our late-summer camping retreat (more details coming soon)!

During the month of May 2013, we will be talking a lot about our wants and desires. In reality, we often want other things more than we do a relationship with God. Why is that? Join us to talk about it and hear some great teachings from the Bible about this topic!

Series Overview

Every morning you wake up and go to work. Why? You go because you want something. Maybe you want to please your boss. Maybe you want to make a difference in the world. Maybe you just want a paycheck. No matter what your motivation, it is driven by some kind of desire. Desire is what makes the world go around. So often we come to church and feel guilty about our desire. We try to make up for having desire or find ways to set our desires aside. But what if we looked at faith in a whole new way? What if desire was actually the beginning of a much better life in Christ?
